A busy two days back

Even though we have only been in school for two days this week we have fitted a lot in! We have used our new blocks to build a town that included a school, a road, a church, and a statue.  Lots of us busily made junk models, these comprised of musical instruments, gifts, lunch, and even a whirlwind. Outside we built lots of things and one of us used the level to check what was straight and what wasn't. We all enjoyed singing and moving to the count to 100 silly song, we even asked for it to be on two extra times each day - Mrs. Holmes, Miss. Grimmer, Miss. Tovell and Leona were all worn out!  Some of us asked for the 200 song to be on too.   

All things Easter

The ladies from the Cathedral came to visit us again this week.  This time we learnt all about the Easter story and what happened to Jesus.  We enjoyed moving around the hall to the different areas and acting out parts of the story.  Some of us got upset when the crucifixion happened. After these activities we made our own peg donkeys and some marshmallow Easter rabbits with Miss. Tovell, we loved making the rabbits but much preferred eating them! At the end of the week we said goodbye to the ducklings as they went to their forever home.  They had their last waddle about the classroom and swim in the water tray. We walked to the church with year 1 and 2 for our Easter service, we walked sensibly and sang to everyone the song "God's not dead". To finish off the term, we had an Easter bonnet parade and colouring competition.  In our class, Ronnie won the bonnet competition and Evie won the colouring competition.  We had our first school Easter egg hunt which ...
