All things Easter
The ladies from the Cathedral came to visit us again this week. This time we learnt all about the Easter story and what happened to Jesus. We enjoyed moving around the hall to the different areas and acting out parts of the story. Some of us got upset when the crucifixion happened.
After these activities we made our own peg donkeys and some marshmallow Easter rabbits with Miss. Tovell, we loved making the rabbits but much preferred eating them!
At the end of the week we said goodbye to the ducklings as they went to their forever home. They had their last waddle about the classroom and swim in the water tray.
We walked to the church with year 1 and 2 for our Easter service, we walked sensibly and sang to everyone the song "God's not dead".
To finish off the term, we had an Easter bonnet parade and colouring competition. In our class, Ronnie won the bonnet competition and Evie won the colouring competition. We had our first school Easter egg hunt which we really loved running around for.
At the end of the day on Friday we had to say a sad goodbye to two of our friends as they are going to a new school. We will miss them a lot but we know they will make some lovely new friends. We sent them away with a picture of us all together.
