A busy second week - with lots of firsts!

This week we have been reading the story "The Colour Monster goes to School".  We were surprised when he was worried because we know that school is great fun!
We have made our own monsters from playdough, collage, cutting and sticking, and drawing.

Also, this week, we began having a special helper for the day.  This person rings the bells when it is tidy up time, they get our snack bar ready, clean the table and tidy up after snack, and they read out the names from our 5Rs sticker board.  Being the special helper is a really important job!

On Wednesday we decided that we would like to try Collective Worship with all the big children.  Mrs. Holmes and Miss. Grimmer were proud of how we walked into the hall, sat and listened carefully, and walked out sensibly.

During Friday Family Worship two of us were awarded certificates, these were:

Alfie and Zeke

They received them for reflectiveness and responsibility.  Well done boys.

Kodie helped three of the Year 2s blow out the candles on the birthday cake too.

We have had a wonderful second week in school, it's like we've been here forever!
