All about pumpkins!
Our superstars this week are:
Evie and Ronnie
for resilience and responsibility. Well done both of you.
Birthday wishes, this week, go to Charlotte and Teddie, who both stood up and blew out the candles on our school Birthday cake.
This week it has all been about the pumpkins. We have had such a great few weeks looking at pumpkins and loved them so much that we have had another week with them.
We had three big pumpkins in class, a white one and two orange ones, Mrs. Holmes' little girl also made us some play dough that smelt of pumpkin, it smelt delicious.
At the beginning of the week we scooped out the insides of the two orange pumpkins, used lots of natural objects to stir up inside them, counted seeds, and talked about what the seeds are for. We liked putting things inside so we started to pour in water to see what happened, Miss. Grimmer gave us some coloured water to use too, we are so lucky.
At the end of the week we used gloop with the pumpkins too. We had great fun!
In maths we have looked at the numbers 1, 2 and 3. We have found different objects that represent these numbers, Mrs. Holmes, Miss. Grimmer and Miss. Tovell couldn't believe how many things we found and how inventive we all were.
