All things Autumn

Our superstars this week are:

Charlotte and Teddie

for reasoning and resilience.  Well done both of you.

We have had great fun talking about autumn and looking at things related to it.  Miss. Grimmer bought us some pumpkins to look at, we were amazed by the big white pumpkin, it was H-U-G-E!!!  We absolutely loved scooping out the seeds, smelling the pumpkins and talking about the different colours.  In our curiosity box we found horse chestnuts, they were very spiky, conkers and pine cones.

This week we have also begun to make our family trees.  We painted the trunk and branches with brown paint, then we dipped broccoli into green paint and used this to stamp the leaves.

On Thursday morning we went on a walk around the village, we were perfectly behaved and listened carefully to what was being said.

We looked out for signs and places, it was very interesting.  Our favourite part was when we saw the ducks at the pond; they waddled over the road to see us but were very naughty because they stopped in the middle of the road and wouldn't let the cars go by!  We now know what they can eat so we are going to get some food, walk down to see them again and feed them.  We found some of our homes on our travels too, that was really exciting!
