Pie, soup, bread and cakes

Our superstars this week are:

Ayla and Freddie

for responsibility and reflectiveness.  Well done both of you.

This week has been a week of cooking, we loved peeling, chopping, stirring and mixing all the ingredients on Monday and Tuesday so Mrs. Holmes and Miss. Tovell asked if we would like to carry on cooking for the rest of the week.

Here is our menu:

Monday - Pumpkin pie
Tuesday - Pumpkin soup
Wednesday - Challah bread (with year two)
Thursday - Vegetable soup
Friday - Cakes

We enjoyed cooking and trying all the foods we made, our favourite was the cakes on Friday, they were delicious!  We really did have fun cooking up a storm at the end of a fabulous first half term.

On Wednesday morning we worked in our house groups with year 1 and year 2.  We found out about the Holy Trinity and that God is three parts, He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we all used actions to help us remember these.  We also found out that Jesus taught His disciples how to pray through using the Lord's Prayer, we made bracelets to help us remember this prayer by using different coloured beads for each part.
