Boxes, fossils and a BIG SURPRISE!
Our superstars this week are:
Byron and George
for responsibility and reflectiveness. Well done both of you.
Birthday wishes, this week, go to Harley, who stood up and blew out the candles on our school Birthday cake.
We have found a love for boxes this week! Miss. Coles left a big box in our classroom for us and we LOVED it. It became many things, at first it was a house, then it was a hiding place, after this we wrote on it, and ripped some pieces off. The ripped pieces became lots of different things too, we had an iron man suit, a hat, a top and many more. Our fruit comes in boxes too so we were allowed to use these, they became dresses, cars, and skirts.
We've looked at different ways of making five and really enjoyed throwing the beanbags into the hoops and counting how many were in the hoop and how many were outside of it. We also looked at zero and that this means there is nothing there.
Fossils take hundreds of years to form, we made our own with salt dough and dinosaur figures. They were great fun to make and look fabulous.
On Friday we had a very BIG SURPRISE. When we got into the hall there was a parcel wrapped in bubble wrap. The school councillors unwrapped it and inside was a DINOSAUR! We are going to decorate it and it will be on the Go Go Dinosaur trail. We are so lucky!
