Our trip to Willow Farm

We had a wonderful time down on the farm. The day began with a trailer ride, which was very exciting. We stopped at Hickling Broad to do some bug hunting before carrying on to the farm. Here the children learnt about different crops that make food, got to handle some tiny chicks and even climbed up into the cab of a combine harvester! A picnic lunch in the garden was followed by a walk to the edge of the broad to look for swallowtail butterflies and a stroll through the woods. We were very lucky to spot some swallowtail butterflies and some deer too! The trailer brought us all the way back to school. It really was a wonderful day.
